2018 Silver Beaver Nominations Due
Nominate A Worthy Volunteer
The Silver Beaver is a national award, presented by the local
council at our Annual Recognition Dinner. It is the highest honor a local council may bestow upon a
volunteer 21 or older. The award consists of a certificate, a formal Silver Beaver
emblem on a ribbon, and a square knot to wear on a uniform.
The nomination for the Silver Beaver Award consists of three parts:
- Noteworthy service of exceptional character to non-Scouting youth
- Exceptional service to the BSA
- Service or standing within the community or community organization
To nominate someone you think deserves this honor, fill out the
Silver Beaver Nomination Form found in the related content section of
Nominations will not be considered for professional Scouters or
council employees within five years of their leaving employment with
BSA. Nominations cannot be made for posthumous awards. Self-nominations are not allowed.
