The Recycling Zone - Dakota County

Learn why household hazardous waste doesn’t belong in the trash. What The Recycling Zone accepts and how it differs from recycling at home. How to ID hazardous waste at home and determine which items require proper disposal at The Recycling Zone.

Environmental Experiences/Tours last about one hour - including a classroom presentation, tour of recycling facilities and often an age appropriate activity. May help fulfill environmental requirements for Cub & Boy Scout advancement.

Tours are scheduled in advance and are available Mondays and Tuesdays, days & evenings, plus evenings on Fridays. Late afternoon & evening scheduling may be done online: For daytime tours or questions contact Joe Gellman - or voicemail at 952-891-7013. Minimum age is 8 or at least in 2nd Grade. Minimum number of people is 5, with a max. of about 25. No cost.
