North Star Museum of Boy Scouting and Girl Scouting

A Non-Profit, Program Partner located in North Saint Paul

The North Star Museum is an independent, non-profit museum connecting the children and families of today with the rich legacies, traditions and stories of Scouting’s past. The museum collects, preserves, and displays Boy Scout and Girl Scout memorabilia for the entire Upper Midwest, showcasing our area’s history “through the lens of Scouting.”

It offers an array of programming for youth members, volunteers, alumni and Scouting groups. These include Merit Badge Workshops, speciality tours, exhibits and speakers. The museum may also be rented as a unique venue for courts of honor, Blue and Gold Banquets and other special events.

a Bright History

Formed in 1976, North Star is one of only a few museums that features the history of both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. It has its own 10,500 sq. ft. building in North Saint Paul at 2640 E. Seventh Avenue and is a membership organization sustained by fees, membership dues, annual donations, foundation grants and corporate gifts.

While our names are similar, our two organizations are separate, but strong program partners in promoting and preserving Scouting and its history. Check out their website for programs, news and more information.
