Northern Star Scouting Returns to the Mini Maker’s Faire!
At the MN State Fair Grandstand
We stepped up our games, by bringing the SAFE Archery Range.
Last summer, Northern Star Scouting, participated in its first ever Mini Maker’s Faire, teaching kids how to make paracord bracelets and was voted one of the favorite booths by attendees!
So, on a rainy June 3rd, an intrepid group of Program Coordinators made their way to the MN State Fair Grandstand to do it again! But we stepped up our games, by bringing the SAFE Archery Range.
Although the rain did cause a lower attendance than last year, the families loved it! It wasn’t just kids who wanted to shoot, the parents did too, showcasing that Cub Scouting really is a family affair!
Hundreds tried out the range and over 150 families signed up to get more information on Cub Scouting.
While waiting for their turn to shoot, kids were also able to construct a pencil catapult, which also went over very well and inspired kids to look at their everyday school supplies a little differently.
Northern Star Scouting has already been invited to come back next year!
