Scouts Visit KS95 for #LikeAScout Campaign
Get Ready For February 8
Scouting is full of opportunities! To help kick of our #LikeAScout good turn campaign, two Scouts, Reagan Dawley and Owen Brattebo, visited KS95 to help record commercials you’ll hear on the air Wednesday, February 8.
The Scouts met with Ryan, Morning Host of KS95 and local Scouting alumni who helped create the Radio Merit Badge. They loved the experience of seeing how a radio station works and even had the chance to learn how to do a recording. “I was excited,” said Dawley, “it was a lot of fun!”
“I liked seeing how everything was done,” Brattebo added. “Everything was fun! We saw the Morning Show and [Moon and Staci] air live.”
Opportunities such as this help Scouts build character and leadership skills. Scouting also promises to help other people at all times and to “Do a Good Turn Daily”. You can do good turns wherever you are! “I like opening doors for someone,” said Dawley. Brattebo agreed, adding that he also enjoys helping grandparents bring in their bags.
Now it’s your turn to be #LikeAScout! To celebrate the Scouting 107th anniversary, help initiate thousands of acts of kindness by doing a good turn on Wednesday, February 8. And don’t forget to share your good deed on social media using the hashtag #LikeAScout!
