Sea Life Aquarium - Bring A Friend

Fish with Friends - A New Member Welcome Event

Northern Star Scouting and SEA LIFE Aquarium at the Mall of America are thrilled to offer a unique and exciting experience to learn about creatures from all around the world. From sharks and reef creatures, seahorses and turtles, to freshwater fish, you can see them all up close. Walk through the amazing underwater tunnel or touch stingrays in the rock pools. Current Scouts of all ages and a parent can attend FREE OF CHARGE if they "Bring a Friend" to an exclusive new member event so they can get to know Scouting.

Additionally, all new families considering joining Cub Scouts, Venture Scouts or Scouts BSA are warmly invited to register for the free event and meet our Membership Team at the MOA. “The start of the school year brings a buzz of excitement as we welcome all the new members of our Scouting family, knowing that they will be creating a lifetime of memories and valuable experiences,” says Membership Chair, Jerry Carter. “What better way to introduce them to our leaders, our STEM programing and to each other than by heading over to Sea Life Aquarium for one of the best attractions in the Twin Cities, as our honored guests! We’ve also partnered with Sea Life to offer 80 places for the Oceanography Merit Badge, so our newest members can look forward to more activities throughout their Scouting career. We’ll be on hand to answer questions and make sure it’s a great introduction to Scouting.”

The event is at SEA LIFE Aquarium, located at the East Entrance of the Mall of America, on Saturday, September 29, 2018. Sessions start every 30 minutes from 4:00 - 9:00 PM. Registration is required and each youth is invited to attend with a parent. Currently registered Scouts who bring at least one friend will have a great experience FREE of charge. Yes – friends are FREE too!

All who attend will get to meet other Scouts and Scout leaders, and learn about other opportunities in Scouting. Space is limited, so register soon!
