What is University of Scouting?

Our University of Scouting is a fun-filled, hands-on, experience-laden opportunity to network with other Scouters, and is truly a learning adventure for new or experienced Scouters.

The University of Scouting gives you the opportunity to choose from over 100 course offerings in six colleges, as well as a Youth Leadership college. Like any University, you build your own schedule when you register. For example, if you're involved with Cub Scouts, first look to the Cub Scout College then the General College for courses. A vendor midway will be open with tons of Scouting related stuff to see, do, or buy. The Scout Shop will also be there selling supplies and materials.

The base tuition is the same no matter how many courses you choose. A couple of classes may have an additional fee to cover material costs. Taking a full day of classes (6 hours) leaves you an hour for lunch, which is included in your tuition.

To receive Discount, this must be the first University of Scouting Event you have attended and you need to be a newly registered volunteer within the past 12 months.

Additional information and event registration will be available at: 2017 Spring U of S Page
